American Century Celebrity Golf Tourney

July 2024

The beautiful Lake Tahoe serves as the backdrop for the American Celebrity Golf Tournament. The tourney boasts such celebrities as Steph Curry, Charles Barkley, Tony Romo, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Justin Timberlake and Jack Wagner.

The three-day, 54-hole tournament includes a $600,000 purse, with $125,000 going to the winner, plus a charity component for local and national non-profits.

Pinehurst Golf Resort

October 2024

Home to this year's US Open, June 10th-16th, Pinehurst will host, yet another, Men's Championship. Which means the facility will be pristine.

We are planning a fall trip staying at the Carolina Hotel, playing #2, #4 (my favorite), The Cradle, and newly opened #10 (first new course at the resort in three decades). Our package will cover accommodations, golf, caddy fees, and breakfast.

We used The Bubbly Traveler to make arrangements for our annual boys golf trip to the Reynolds Plantation at Lake Oconee in Georgia. The accommodations were fantastic; we stayed at one of the 4 bedroom on-property Club Cottages which was outstanding. They consisted of a single unit split level with beautiful views and a large comfortable balcony deck that was perfect for post round liquid refreshments and cigars. Also, a full kitchen/dining area with a large comfortable living area made it super easy to enjoy drinks and snacks at our leisure.

The golf courses were all top notch in all areas; condition, layout, service level and overall ambiance with some serious “wow” holes throughout.

The on-property bar/restaurants were also excellent, most had a casual atmosphere and were golfer friendly with a wide variety of food choices. All were quite good and we absolutely enjoyed everything we had.

The Bubbly Traveler knew exactly what we were looking for and came through with flying colors on this trip. We will definitely utilize their expertise and services for all future getaways.
